I'm a retired engineer and avid bike rider. I am currently working with the Teton Valley Community Recycling (TVCR) to set up a bicycle recycling/co-op here in the Teton Valley of Idaho. Our focus is to resolve two problems. The first is that there are a lot of bicycles that still have lots of potential life that end up in our dump. The second is the need to bring bikes to low-income members of our community. Our goals is to reduce the volume of bikes that end up in the dump by recycling and repairing those that still have life and providing them to those in the community that need them.
