Desde el taller de Bike!Bike! En todas partes! del año pasado, nuestra petición para erradicar la fabricación y venta de bicicletas económicas y diseñadas para fallar ha recibido más dde 3350 firmas de tiendas de bicicletas, cooperativas, mécaniques y grupos de incidencia política alrededor del mundo, y, ¡ha atraído una cantidad decente de atención de  los medios! ¿Qué sigue? ¡Necesitamos tu ayuda!

Únete a este taller para aprender cómo podemos usar esta petición para disminuir o detener el flujo de bicicletas de un solo uso o bicicletas provenientes de supermercados en nuestras comunidades al mismo tiempo que construimos infraestructura, instituciones y políticas que faciliten el acceso a bicicletas confiables y reparables.Esta conversación compartida para la comunidad

  1. nos recordará las condiciones de las bicicletas mal ensambladas, inseguras, irreparables y baratas, así como los problemas que ocasionan en nuestras comunidades, y
  2. buscará soluciones que lleguen a nivel sistema, hacia las cuales podamos avanzar juntes y que se centren en las personas pobres, de clase trabajadora y de zonas rurales (incluyendo maneras para apoyar y amplificar esta campaña).

Since last year's Bike!BikeEverywhere workshop, our Petition to End the Manufacture and Sale of Built-to-Fail Budget Bicycles has received over 3,350 signatures from bicycle shops, co-ops, mechanics, and advocacy groups around the world, and has gotten some decent media attention! What comes next? We need your help!

Join this workshop to learn how we can use this petition to slow or stop the flow of single-use bicycles into our communities while building infrastructure, institutions and policy that increase access to reliable and repairable bicycles instead!This facilitated community conversation will

  1. remind us of the state of badly-constructed, unsafe, unrepairable budget bikes and the problems they are causing in our communities, and
  2. look at system-wide solutions we can all move forward together that center poor and working class and rural populations - including ways to support and grow this current campaign.
