The Urban Bike Project of Wilmington is a community bike shop and advocacy organization located in Wilmington, DE.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve the community's needs by educating and promoting cycling as a safe, practical, cost-efficient mode of transportation. Our facilities provide a means for the public to become more self-sufficient both in bicycle maintenance and transportation. We work to foster a greater sense of awareness in motorists, pedestrians, and the community at large.

Hours

None/by appointment only. By December we should be open 1 or 2 nights per week.

Location

1908 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. We are in the process of relocating to this location in the old Mammelles Paint store. Car and bike parking is available behind the building at the entrance to UBP.

History

Services

We provide assistance to anyone in need of a bicycle or repairs to an existing machine. We also provide bicycle safety checks and valet bike parking at events in and around Wilmington.
