Recycle Bicycles is a distributed network of volunteers that collect and refurbish bicycles for donation to people in need. The group is based in the Denver metro region, but serves groups all around Colorado and beyond.

History
Recycle Bicycles was founded in 1994 by Dave Bauer, who served as a director until his death in 2025.. Since inception, the organization has given away over 23,000 bikes to people in need.
Services Offered
People wishing to donate bicycles or related items to the group may do so at partner bike shops in the Denver metro area, including Bicycle Village stores and Campus Cycles. More information is available on the website.
People and groups in need of donated bikes should contact Recycle Bicycles on their website. In addition to in-person donation events, the group is able to coordinate patron pick-ups of donated bicycles at their partner bike shops.
