Tips & Tricks
Problem
It is common to put Freewheel Removal tools in a vice, and put the wheel on top and turn counter-clockwise. However due to the fact the FR-2 only has two prongs it has a tendency to strip out.
Solution
Tighten the FR-2 in place with either the axle nut or the quick release before turning it in a vice. Stop once you should feel it break free and remove the axle nut / quick release. You should be able to turn the rest of it off by hand. Best yet you have minimized the chance of stripping out the tool or the freewheel.
